A year later, I joined forces with comic expert Joost Pollman to create Oeverloos (rough translation: without borders). In this newspaper, we cross the IJ-river to explore the vast development of Amsterdam North, with narratives by Aart Taminau, Edith Kuyvenhoven, Jan Cleijne and many more! Inside, you'll find a schedule for festival events: exhibitions, lectures, Sketch Battle, live performances. The newspaper counted 20.000 copies and was distributed through the high schools of Amsterdam north and anyone could pick up an copy at the 14 festival locations. Sponsored by AFK, Gemeente Amsterdam-Noord, Prins Bernard Fonds and Stimuleringsfonds voor Creatieve Industrie.
Each fully-illustrated newspaper counts 32 pages of insightful stories which aim to promote the east, west and northern districts of Amsterdam while offering a podium for the city's finest comic artists. There's something in it for everyone and best-of-all, the Amsterdam Comic Newspapers are completely FREE!
